Visiting the Neon Museum is one of my favorite places ALL TIME. It’s one of the coolest museums and definitely worth a spot on your next trip to Vegas. The Neon Museum was on my Vegas bucket list for a while before I actually went. And I will tell you it DID NOT disappoint.
What is the Neon Museum in Vegas?
The Neon Museum is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to collecting, preserving, studying, and exhibiting iconic Las Vegas signs for education, historical, arts, and cultural enrichment. (According to their website)
There are more than 250 unrestored signs enjoying their retirement. Each sign has its own history and story to tell about the personalities who created it, what inspired it, where and when it was made, and the role it played in Las Vegas’ history.
Where is the Neon Museum?
The Neon Museum is located in Las Vegas off the strip. The physical address is 770 N Las Vegas Boulevard, LV, NV. There is free parking across the street from the visitors’ center.
When you get to the museum you’ll enter through The Neon Museum Visitors Center which is located inside the historic La Concha Motel lobby. The museum was founded in 1996 and consists of an outdoor exhibit called the Neon Boneyard Main Collection and the Neon Boneyard North Gallery. You can only access the North Gallery if you purchase tickets to the show Brilliant! You’ll go through the Gift Shop to get to the Neon Boneyard.
When to visit the Neon Museum?
The Neon Museum is open year-round, but I would always check their website before heading over there.
- Las Vegas is extremely hot in the summer and the museum is outdoors with very minimal shade. We went later in the day in the fall and it was still pretty warm.
- I recommend going at sunset because you’ll be able to see some of the lights on some of the restored signs.
- No tripods unless you do a photo walk. I really wanted to do this but I was outnumbered. I still got amazing pictures and was happy to see everything.
Tickets
Tickets are required when visiting the Neon Museum. They go on sale a month in advance, but we were able to book our tickets the same day. You can purchase tickets to visit the Neon Museum online or at the vistors’ center.

Overall Experience
Overall, I love the entire thing. I could have stayed longer. Next time I go back, I’m doing the full glow – the tour, the show, both Neon Boneyards. Visiting the Neon Museum is always something I now recommend when asked about things to do in Vegas.
