National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo 2024 for short) is every November. The goal is to write 50,000 words during November. There is also Camp NaNoWriMo in April and July with the Now What in January and February. It’s a free site that can be used all year to track your writing.
Right now I have 4 goals for different books or writing options. This month, I hope to write 50,000 words for blog posts. I have so many post ideas and things that I NEED to post. So, finally expect posts from my Michigan trip, 52 week gratitude challenge I’m starting this month, Red Rock, and Valley of Fire. I bet there will be more but this is the starting point.
The first goal is a book idea that I have been thinking about for a while. I’m not sure about the title or if I want to want to do it. I go back and forth on it. The goal for this is the outline.
I have a secret project that I have a goal of 25,000 words, but I have already written 15,000 words. I can’t wait to share more about this. There are a few people who I have told about this and the feedback has been good.
I have always loved to write, and I’m starting to do more of that. Anything that I wouldn’t post here, I post on substack and medium. I am also doing a prompt challenge this month where I write for 10 minutes, rest/reread for 2 minutes, and edit/publish for 3 minutes. I’m using Deadlines for Writers 365 prompts.
I’m really excited to make writing more of a habit this month. The goal is to write every day, but I think most of the writing will be done on the weekends. Stay tuned for updates and thoughts at the end of the NaNoWriMo 2024.
