If you haven’t checked out Wednesday’s post, I would highly suggest it. It’s breaking down what we are going to talk about Wednesday. Friday expectations is all about TRAVEL!
I love to travel! I love exploring new areas to always being a tourist. Which is perfect for the baseball lifestyle. I remember talking with my family and some family friends that I wanted an RV with my cameras and just travel. Debating on whether I want to pull my vehicle or pull the RV. I still dream about that now! When traveling I think which would be better, my ideal right now is a truck with something on the back.
Traveling has always been so much fun and creative outlet for me. I love researching the area, and finding landmarks as well as local spots. I want to see everything SINGLE thing the area has to offer. That would be my achilles heal when traveling because I try to cram so much stuff in a little time frame.
I have learned over time that I don’t need to experience everything at once. I can come back to visit again. While living in California, I have tried to take a more laid back approach because there is NO WAY that you can see everything. That was my defining moment that I can not do everything.
Planning and Prepping
There is really no good place to start. I am going to show you how I plan and prep for my trips. I will warn you that I am INCREDIBLY organized when I plan trips. We took a family trip to New Orleans for New Years last year, and my family kept mentioning how organized things were. We are also planning a 7 day trip down the Pacific Coast Highway that we are starting to plan for next September.
Workouts
I’ll be showcasing some workouts that can be done with traveling, in a hotel, AirBnb, or with some great scenery. I became a personal trainer because I wanted to show people that you can workout anywhere. Having a gym membership is nice but not essential. We can still get a great workout with just our bodies. I also tell my clients let me know when you are traveling because I will switch up your workouts. There is no reason to not get a workout in while traveling.
Sports Mostly Baseball
Of course, I couldn’t NOT have baseball in this space. It is a huge factor in my life. Sometimes it’s my entire life. We have been to so many baseball games. Sports are usually a common theme when we travel. It use to be so bad where baseball/sports ruled the entire trip that we didn’t explore the area. Now we have learned balance, and try to do 1 sports event per day!
Not everything will be baseball related, but I guarantee a majority. One of things I want to do but haven’t done is break down a stadium by food selection. Also show things within walking distance of the stadium to show there is so much to do for everyone!
Do you love to travel? What’s your favorite place? Tell me in the comments!
