Intentional Meal Prep Night

These aren’t the best pictures but I’m glad that I spend some time meal prepping for the rest of the week.

Pork tenderloin is my favorite because I can cook on Sunday & have it for the week.

I separated m&ms and chocolate chips into small bags. Pepperonis are in silicone cupcake liners.

Right now, I’m using meal prep containers from Sam’s Club. I want to make the switch to stackable bento boxes.

Lots of new things today!

1. Went to @wildlifeprairiepark. Messed around with camera filters for my phone and my camera! 📸

2. Disc golfing. Using my discs I got from the @ledgestonediscgolf. @isaacwrdg_19 @greggbarsby

3. Tried a new restaurant, @pizza150! The magnificent 7 is AMAZING!! 🤩

4. Met a new friend who also likes to disc golf and kayak!

This year is ALL about MicroAdventures. I'm staying close and exploring Peoria.

The thing about MicroAdventures is it doesn't have to extravagant. It can be as simple as taking a new way home after work.

I'm doing MicroAdventures in a few different ways through 52 Hikes in 52 Weeks, 1000 Hours Outside, and 52 Adventures in 52 Weeks.

Some of my favorite apps I use when I travel:

-atlas obscura: I knew about the website before I knew about that app. I am so glad that I downloaded the app because I have been able to see more than I ever imagined.

-roadside America: the guide to offbeat attractions does not disappoint either. My favorite feature on this app is the location button in the upper left. Hit that and it will grab your location and tell you everything around you. this is also great if you want to explore where you live.

-LittleFreeLibrary: I love going to these because each one has its own story and they all look different. The only downfall with this app is the directions aren’t always accurate AND the libraries aren’t always in that location or even there anymore. BUT you can leave tips for other people if you had trouble finding it.

-Geocaching: I haven’t used it yet but I plan on it this summer.

-AllTrails: this is how I find and save which trails I want to do when I’m traveling. The app recently did an update which I love because now you can narrow your search by filtering down to epic views, rivers, hidden gems, etc. I am so excited to test this out on trips.

-google maps: this has been a new one for me. I love using the google maps over the one that comes with the phone because the favorites are saved. (I have had issues in the past where the favorites disappear) Also with google maps, you can put in different categories.

-Google Sheets:

-dropbox: if you take pictures this is a must. Every night I make sure all my pictures have been uploaded to the app. Then I can delete off my phone and I have more space for the next day. This way I don’t have to decide what to delete if it came to that. It has honestly only happened a few times but those few times I was not ready to make those types of decisions.
