Here’s to another round of talking about my favorite things. Welcome to Friday Favorites Nov 24 – Gratitude! This month is going to be a little different because this is NOT one of my favorite things, BUT it is something I want more of in my life…. AND that’s gratitude. I have a REALLY hard time finding things to be grateful for or just having a grateful heart.
Lately, I have been struggling mentally. I get in these ruts and can’t seem to get myself out of it. So I decided to do a gratitude challenge.
Gratitude Journal
I have had this gratitude journal FOREVER. I am absolutely horrible at being consistent at it then I quit because I don’t do both the morning and the evening. Trust me, I know this sounds ridiculous but it’s how my brain works. I have started it back up again, but this time I’m not going to be hard on myself. The goal is to fill it out half the week and work up to everyday.
Mindfulness
This is also something that I am not very good at and that’s being mindful. Be present in the moment. It’s something that I want to work on.
Habits
I have downloaded the BEST Habit Tracker app, and that’s Finch. I have a little birb that I take care of by completely the habits. I named her Halo, and I check in everyday with her. Each day has I mark off my habits I collect rainbow stones to get clothes and accessories. She has a birdhouse that I can decorate.
Gratitude Challenge
I won’t talk too much about it because I wrote a whole blog post that you can check out. I did this a few years ago after seeing it on The Local Adventurer, and it changed the way I thought. If you want to follow along and do it yourself you can.
NaNoWriMo
This was my big goal this month to write 50,000 words towards my writing project. I actually tried to be an overachiever, and create writing goals for each area. Writing was tough this month. I didn’t write as much as I thought or wanted, but I do think that I got close with my secret project.
