52 Week Gratitude – Personality Trait

Spread the love

This week of the 52 week gratitude challenge is about showing gratitude towards a personality traits. I also want to talk about personal values. I recently did a Life Reset Week where I re-examine pretty much my whole life and now working towards rebuilding. If you read, week 3 of this gratitude challenge you would know I needed it.

These traits are in no particular order:

  • Adventurous – This was suppose to be the year of travel and adventure. My thought process was to find myself through traveling.
  • Caring/ Kind –
  • Loyal – I am fiercely loyal. I may not talk or call my friends a lot but they know they can always count on me. I am very much a ride or die friend. I don’t need to know where we are going or what we are doing.
  • Independent – This is a trait that I am working towards.
  • Authentic – I feel like for the most part I am authentic. In times of difficulty or stress, I tent to retreat and become hardened. I want to be authentic all the time. Kindness is often looked at as a weakness.
  • Minimalistic – The end goal is to be able to live my car, an RV, or slide in truck camper.
  • Spiritual – In the beginning of this challenge, I wanted it to be spiritual in terms of my biblical. Over the year, I have learned that spiritual is much more than that. By being open minded in this term, I have learned I am more spiritual than I thought.
  • Hardworking – I don’t know why I feel this way, but I feel like I have always had to work harder than anyone else. It’s probably because I have always been interested in fields that have always been male dominated. I love writing
  • Creative – I have always been super creative. I feel like I see things in a different way than others sometimes.
  • Organized – I am so organized sometimes it is crazy. My favorite story about being organized is in Pheonix I was in the Junior League. Each year they have this massive sale at the fairgrounds. Each member is supposed to donate $200 worth of stuff. They had a sheet that showed what everything was priced. I had everything organized in a spreadsheet, separated by department with the breakdown. Then I had it organized in my car in the same layout so I can easily find and take it out. One of the ladies said this is a new level of organization. I thought it was just simple.
  • Growth – This year was about growing mentally.

My Values

During my life reset weekend, I worked on my values. I did this last year, and it really helped on staying focused on my goals.

  • Adventurous – I love to travel and explore.
  • Decisive – I am not the best at being decisive right now, BUT it is something that I want to work towards in the upcoming year.
  • Confident – Confidence is a tricky one. I am confident in some situations. The goal is to work on being confident in expressing what I need and want from others.
  • Growth – Growing and learning is an important trait for me. I want to be constantly be growing and learning. We can learn from every situation.
  • Balanced – My definition of balance is being able to do everything I want without having to compromise or regret.
  • Creative – Creative is something that has become more important to me over the past few years. My creativity is crocheting, writing and most recently painting.
  • Disciplined – This is a trait that I am working towards. I want to be more disciplined in my life with my habits and routine.
  • Loyal – I am extremely loyal. This is not something I say boastfully, but something several people have said to me over the years. I never really thought about it being loyal, but just being a good person.
  • Strong – This is just not physically, but mentally and spiritually. I want to strong mentally and not second guess or doubt myself as much.
  • Intentional – I want to be more intentional with my time.

Gratitude Update

Gratitude is still a word that gives me anxiety. As I am writing this, my chest is tight and breathing is kinda difficult. I don’t remember where exactly I read it, but showing gratitude start with I get FILL IN THE BLANK. This will be easier to come up with a list of things you are grateful for instead of writing on a blank piece of paper. When I read this, it made things so much easier. I hope this tip makes it easier for you as well.

I also want to give credit where I got this idea and a lot of my prompts. Esther and Jacob from the Local Adventurer.

Time: 5:30p-9:30p

We got there around 6:30pm, and didn’t leave until 9:15pm. The website says the walk will take about an hour, but you can go at your own pace. There are so many lanterns in each animal exhibit.

We started going through the Asian Trail, there was year of animals. The Africa section was my favorite, but I am not going to tell you why. But it was a nice surprise, and I was way too excited.

There were hands on activities throughout the zoo, but by the time we got to some of the areas it was closed.
-make your lantern
-paint rocks to be placed around the zoo
-tattoos
-music each night

What are your “musts” when traveling? Let me k What are your “musts” when traveling? Let me know in the comments!

These are the things I always have when I travel: (arrow down)

1. Spare credit card/bank card - I typically bring this, but before my last trip my regular bank card got hacked. Now I make sure to always have 2 cards with me.
2. Portable charge/power banks - I have a charger that I keep in my car all the time. It's a 4 in 1 charger, but I also have portable charge that I keep in my bag. It has come in handy more times that I can count for me and other people.
3. Reusable water bottle - I have my Stanley when I am driving. While I am hiking I use either a water bladder or a hydroflask.
4. Reusable Bags - My favorite is the Mary Kay roll up bag. It has 4 plastic bags that holds everything I need for my morning/evening routine and shower time.
5. Books - I will most always have a physical book along with my kindle app. I love to read. During my hikes I stop throughout for snacks and reading.
6. Wet Wipes - My favorite is HyperGo because they have so many different scents. They are also 12x12 so usually 1 works for the whole body.
